Since Halloween fell on a Saturday this year we decided to spend the weekend in Safford. As soon as we got into town my sister called me and told me that my Grandpa had just past away. It was very sudden and very unexpected. I'm so glad that we were there. I was able to spend most of the weekend with my step Grandma, just trying to comfort her through this difficult time. Once my mom and her brother and sister came I felt like I could go and enjoy Halloween with my family, even though it was difficult.
Carter wanted to be a cop again. I told him that he needed to think of something else because he's been a cop for the past two years. Well, he came up with a prisoner...it's so Carter.
Leah wanted to be a cheerleader. I was lovin' that because we already had the dress-up costume.
Mila was going to be a witch. I say going because as soon as we started putting her costume on her she starting screaming. By the time I finally got it all the way on, she was crying so hard she started puking. We would rather have a happy baby then a grouchy one, so we took it off of her. Maybe next year...
Mila wasn't sure what to think and everything was "ughee" to her.
Jason's family really gets into Halloween. They've done haunted houses and Halloween parties for as long as I've known him. This year they decided to have a party for all the kids and their friends instead of going trick or treating. This year's haunted house wasn't nearly as scary as in the past, but the kids still loved it!
Carter and Leah just went trick or treating to all of the family that lives close by, and they came back with their pumpkins half full. He says, "Everyone gave us more than one at every house." He was in candy heaven!! I guess it was a good thing we didn't plan to go trick or treating... They got enough candy!!
At the Halloween Party the kids had such a fun time! Jason's mom and sister really went all out to make the night so fun! They did a treasure hunt, had a contest to make the best mummy, a doughnut eating contest, a cake walk, and a costume contest.
We all had so much fun!! I really enjoyed just laughing at Aaron the "Nerd". He fit the costume so well.
