9 Great Years!

Today is our 9th Wedding Anniversary. What an awesome 9 years it's been!

This is a horrible picture of a picture...

Looking for a picture it reminded me that I still need to get all of my wedding pictures scanned onto my computer. We were married before the great advances of technology called digital pictures, so I have a huge box of film that doesn't do much good just stashed in my closet. But you get the idea.

In a way I can't believe that it's only been 9 years, it's hard to remember when we weren't married. I just know that I made the best decision of my life 9 years ago and I can't imagine my life without Jason. He is the best husband and Father that anyone could ever ask for. I am so grateful for all that he does to support our family and I thank my Heavenly Father for him everyday. I hope that we have many many more years together!

Our kids are going to spend the weekend with Grandma and Papa Nelson in Safford this weekend, and Jason is off on Friday, so hopefully we'll be able to celebrate then. I can't wait!

We're in trouble!

I was up stairs on the computer when I overheard Leah talking to Carter downstairs.

This is what she said: "Carter I just saw a handsome, handsome man on the T.V. screen. He was beautiful, he has an awesome voice, and sweet muscles". Then she came up and said the same thing to me, and that she wanted to date him.

I think we should consider homeschooling through college.

Diaper Baby

Lately Mila does not like clothes. She tugs and screams until someone will take them off of her. She'll let you dress her if you tell her that we're going bye bye. Otherwise, if we're home she's usually dressed like this...

Notice how happy she is now...just minutes before she threw a fit like no other. Hopefully this is just a faze and it won't last long.

Finally!!

I finally did it...I can't believe that I'm finally able to do it...and I'm excited about it!!

I pulled out ALL of my baby stuff to get rid of it!!

If Mila doesn't need it anymore, it's out of here!! We are officially done having kids and I'm so excited to be able to clean out drawers, closets, and totes in the garage. I was starting to feel like every closet and corner in our house was full of baby STUFF. It's so nice to now have some extra space and now you can actually get around in our garage...NICE!!

Thankful for A/C

On Friday we spent the day at my sisters house and when we came home our downstairs was 84 degrees. (That's really hot to us, cause we keep it at 77 or 78.) I noticed it right when I walked in the door... but Jason was sitting at the kitchen table eating dinner and had no idea anything was wrong. Jason went up in the attic to see if he could see anything wrong and noticed that the tubing to the unit had ice on it. Probably not a good thing...and why did it have to happen on a Friday night? I called someone my sister had used in the past and he can't come out until Monday. (I knew that was going to be the story, but I could hope right?) Well with 2 days and no A/C downstairs it really makes me grateful... It could have been the upstairs unit and we could be sleeping miserably; and I now know how much A/C REALLY means to us. I'm just hoping it doesn't cost us an arm and a leg, cause I'm running out of em.

Thanks for dinner Oprah

A few months ago Oprah was giving away dinner for four at KFC to try out their new grilled chicken. Well the response was very overwhelming for KFC, so they had you turn in your coupons and then they would mail you another coupon at a later date, only this coupon would include a drink. Well we finally got our long awaited coupons in the mail a few weeks ago, and tonight was one of those nights that I didn't feel like cooking, so we decided to use em'...

It was pretty darn good! My kids kept saying "this is the best dinner ever!" I told Carter that if I was to make it at home he wouldn't eat it, and he just says, "Yeah, cause I like it here." I know things that are "free" are always better, but my kids didn't even know... :) So if you haven't tried the new grilled chicken...it's good, just so you know... And thanks Oprah, you saved us $23.00 and a messy kitchen.

Betsy...This one's for you!

I didn't know that I had any followers to my blog, but apparently I do...I had an email this morning stating that I needed to update my blog TODAY. I was even given a few suggestions on what I could post about. I just had to laugh...

I haven't taken my camera out since Carter's first day of school and that's probably why I haven't updated, cause posts without pictures are pretty boring...

I guess since Carter's started school, life is just not as exciting as it used to be. It's still too hot to do or even go anywhere, so we've just been hanging out at home mostly. Leah is really starting to miss Carter being gone at school all day. It's kinda hard for me to believe though, because when he's home is all they do is fight.

Leah starts preschool on September 9th and yesterday her teacher left an open house invitation and some candy on our front porch. When I told Leah who it was from and gave her the candy she says..."My teacher really does like me. Preschool is going to be so fun!" I'm glad that she excited about it, because I'm really excited to only have one kid for a few hours, 3 days a week! What will I do with myself?

Carter was eating dinner last week and when he bit down one of his teeth became really loose and was bleeding everywhere. It took most of the night to convince him to just pull it out because it was just hanging there. A couple of hours later he comes in and says "Look" and hands me his tooth. I asked him how he got it out and he said he was feeling it with his tongue and it just came out. I guess that tells you how loose it was. Well, the Tooth Fairy must have been on vacation, or out of money, or just kept forgetting to come, because it took three heart broken nights before she finally came and brought him some dough...Now we have a trip to the dollar store scheduled for his half day Friday.

Jason and I were able to go to the Temple on Saturday...finally. Jason had not been back since we were married there, so it was really nice to get to go. We celebrate our 9th anniversary in a couple of weeks. To me I can't believe its only going to be 9 years. We started dating in high school, so we've been together for 15 years. Maybe that's why the 9 years doesn't seem that long...

On Saturday morning Leah asked if we could go swimming. I told her that we could fill up her swimming pool in the backyard, but we weren't going anywhere. She was excited, so she runs upstairs to get her swimsuit on and this is how she came down...

with it on backwards...I thought it was pretty funny. Boobies and all.

Mila is really starting to talk a lot. She knows what she wants and what it takes to get it... She's gotten really good at throwing fits lately. I swear this girl is addicted to ice. If she sees a cup, she will throw herself on the floor and yell "ICE, ICE..." until she gets some, (no matter where we are). Here she is with her morning cup of goodness...

I don't know what else to post about...
We still haven't seen signs of new neighbors, and yes, we truly miss the Gilchrist's everyday! They were the best neighbors anybody could ask for!!
Good enough Betsy?
