Our house went on the market last Saturday and we got an offer on Sunday!!
It's a sigh of relief for me... Keeping a house clean 24/7 is not my idea of a fun time!!! And with the kids out on Spring Break it was a nightmare. I felt like I had to follow behind them cleaning up their messes as they made them.
I'm really excited for the family that is buying our home and hope that they love it as much as we have!

House for Sale
Our house is officially up for sale today...
Jason's work changed their on-call procedure. They now call out the closest truck to the order and with us living so far out he's not able to get the overtime that we need to make ends meet each month. So we decided that we needed to move closer to "civilization".
I'm having mixed emotions about this... I feel like we put all of our love and hard work into this house hoping that we could live here forever, but then again I am looking forward to our new adventure... Where ever that may be.
Here are some pictures of our house if you know anyone that would like to live in Queen Creek for cheap. (It's worth the drive at the price.) It's a 5 bedroom, 3 bath, 3 car garage...

For some reason I didn't finish taking all of the pictures...
These are missing the Master Bedroom, Upstairs Hall Bath, Master Bath and Closet and the front of the house...but you get the idea.

The Backyard
I heard about this place in Mesa where you can get authentic carne asada tacos. Like taco-stand-next-to-the-beach-in-Mexico authentic. (Even though I've never been to a taco-stand-next-to-the-beach-in-Mexico...) Well, we decided to try it out last night, and man it was so good. And pretty cheap.
The funny thing is...it's in someone's backyard! Literally, in their backyard. Kinda intimidating at first...but once we saw how many cars were parked on the street and how many people were walking into their backyard, we decided to give it a try. We even saw the Mormon missionaries stopping by...
They are only open on Friday and Saturday nights starting at about 6:30pm. They serve carne asada tacos, carne asada quesadillas, and carne asada gorditas. They also have these amazing sauces to put on top. No rice and beans. No chips and salsa. Just amazing carne asada. You should try it if you're in the area...
*Directions: Go north on Stapley from Southern. Turn left on 8th. (First light after Southern). Take first left on Spencer. (Tree blocking sign). It's the first house on the left with white, metal, decorative fence. Find a place to park (good luck) and walk right into the backyard.

Maybe we do need a dog
My kids are obsessed with dogs!! They beg and beg for one of their own all the time. They've been told that when Mila gets a little bit older they can get one.
For now this seems to be Mila's dog...
It's a ceramic dog that we got from my Grandpa's shop a couple of months ago. I think it used to be my uncle's a long time ago and has been collecting dust, so Carter thought he needed to bring it home.
Well Mila has taken it over ever since...
It's really pretty heavy, but she still carries it around with her everywhere saying, "Heby, Heby" (heavy) the whole time. She's constantly petting it and talking to it. I think it pretty funny watching her try to function with this stupid thing.
I guess the little girl can only wish that it was real.
Maybe someday...

Long time no blog...
I have been informed that our blog needs to be updated...
I think I have a good excuse though... For Christmas Jason got me a Canon Rebel SLR camera. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, but it is a lot bigger than my old one, so I don't seem to pull it out or take it places like I did with my old Kodak camera. Weeks have gone by, and I haven't taken any pictures...so that's my excuse for not blogging.
Here are a few pictures from the past month...
Carter has discovered Jason's old guitar from high school in our closet. He doesn't have a clue how to play it, but he loves to try.
He's getting brave.

After four years of no car payment, we gave in and bought a new car. Our van had over 107,000 miles on it, and cost us over $6,000 in repairs last year, so we decided it was time to give it the boot before it left us on the side of the road with 3 kids. We decided on a Chevy Tahoe and it really is spoiling us. It has everything that a luxury car could have including things we were still trying to figure out... WE LOVE IT!!
This is Leah's favorite past time: Playing dress-up. If we are home for more than 20 minutes she says, "Have you seen me in my clothes for a long time?" "Well, can I play dress-up?"
Mila really enjoys her naps, but only in her crib. On this day she begged for a nap and when I came to get her she had fallen asleep at the base of the stairs. (No, she didn't fall down them first.)
The kids beg to play out front... EVERY...DAY! The begging starts as soon as we pick up Carter at school.
Carter pulls out his ramp and all of the neighborhood kids come running....
He's getting brave.
This time he totally biffed it. No blood...no problems, but I got a good laugh.
Mila was really concerned about him. She loves her big brother.
This is good enough for now...and I promise I'll try to do better with this.
