December Craziness...

These are just some pictures I had on my camera...some are not so cute.  They make me realize that Mila's hair really needs some help!!  She always pulls her ponies or clips out, so her hair looks like it is always neglected...  Really...I do try.

I was folding laundry and Mila wanted me to put Leah's underwear on her. I could not stop laughing... she wore them for a long time and was so proud of them.

She wasn't very happy when I took them off of her...

We went to the light parade in Safford, and as we were getting ready to leave my kids somehow ended up being IN the light parade, so I just have pictures of Mila. (Again with hideous hair.)

Leah's preschool had a VERY cute Christmas program for the families to go and watch.  Leah was an angel. (I mean dressed as an angel...)

She had a small speaking part which she had memorized.... but when it came to her turn to speak, her mind must have went blank...  She knew it was her turn, but couldn't remember what she was suppose to say... She kept looking around and just blabbing until it finally came to her..."For a child is born this day."  After she said it, she looked so proud.  There were a lot of people and bright lights... so I know I would have been nervous too.

Afterwards Santa came to make a quick visit with the kids.  Carter said that he was just one of Santa's helpers, because he wasn't the real one. 

Carter thinks he has Santa all figured out..."The real one is at the mall and all of the others are just his helpers that talk to the kids that can't go and see him at the mall."  Sounds like a good explanation to me.

He can't wait to try to catch him on video again this year...so we'll see.

These are the girls Christmas dresses. 

After lots of crying just getting ready for church, we were asking ourselves if it was even worth the effort...

Leah wouldn't wear her new black church shoes, because she wanted to wear her black boots.  Not very cute, but we finally gave in so she would be happy.  Mila didn't even want to wear her dress and then didn't want her picture taken what so ever...  KIDS!!

This is the best we got...

Today is a lazy and rainy day... Here's Mila just watching ELMO.  Her new favorite thing...

My kids are so excited for Christmas.  The countdown only has 3 loops left.... I think I need to hurry up and finish our shopping...

Snow in Gilbert

Yesterday Power Ranch made tons of snow for the kids to play and sled.  My kids have never experienced snow, (except for Carter when he was about three), so they weren't too sure about it at first.  Leah's hands were freezing and bright red, even with gloves on.  I think she is truly an Arizona girl...

We all just thought how pathetic we looked waiting in a line with fifty other people to slide down a wimpy hill...but the kids had a blast!! 

At first Carter didn't have a clue what to do. He put the sled down and tried to stand on it going down.

I think we need to plan a trip to go up North and show the kids what real snow is because they have no idea...

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I love this time of year!  I especially love to see the creative things that my kids make at school...

They are so proud to come home and hang it on the fridge for everyone to see. 

I remember the holidays were my favorite time in elementary school, just because of all the fun stuff we would make.  My favorite was the turkeys out of apples, gumdrops and toothpicks...

But what do you do with all of this stuff after the holiday passes?  I saved all of Carter's preschool and kindergarten projects, and I'm just wondering how long this can go on, especially with multiple kids...  Do you just throw it away or do you save it somehow?  As cute as each of these are...it's just beginning to be a little much...

Yummy Dinner

I actually made something that my kids ate and then asked for seconds!!  That NEVER happens at our house!  The only things I know my kids will ALL eat are pizza, soup, or anything they can dip in ranch.  Healthy hu?  Well tonight I decided to make enchiladas.... with no flavor and no heat.  Can you say blaaaaa?  Well they loved them!!  Mila and Leah both had two full plates and Carter just had a little bit because he didn't want to admit that they were good, so he wasn't gettin' more... (I know he liked them though.)

Mila was cracking me up when she was done with her second helping...  She was actually licking her plate!!

This will probably never happen again, so I thought it was worth writing down.

Jason and his Root beer

Ever since I've known Jason he has been into trying different root beer's.  Where ever we go if he sees one that he's never tried...he'll buy it, but they have to be in a glass bottle.  We've even taken road trips to places that he's found that sells rare root beer.

When we first got married he found a "do it yourself" kit where you make your own root beer and then bottle it.  It had to ferment for a while, and when they were ready it was GROSS!!!  He tried it a few times, but they never turned out to where you could actually drink them.

I love homemade root beer with dry ice and I like the "normal" root beers A&W or Barq's, but those don't seem to be good enough for Jason.  He likes the unusual ones that have tree bark as an ingredient... or the ones that seem to taste like black licorice.

Well, he found out that BevMo, that is just down the road, sells a lot of different sodas, so he had to go see what kinds of root beers they had.  He bought four to try out...  I mean just look at the names...what would make you want to try them?

Jason liked them all, but I thought they were ALL nasty!!  I'm sure he's wanting to go back for more soon...  I think I'll just stick with the A&W, thanks.

Carter's Rocket

Carter has wanted a "fire rocket" for a couple of years now.  He's asked for one for Christmas, birthdays and every time we go to Wal-mart, but we've never let him have one.  Well a few weeks ago we saw one at a yard sale, new in the box for five bucks!  Jason couldn't pass it up and Carter has been on cloud nine ever since. 

We took it to a Power Ranch park the other night and it really got quite the audience. It's really cool at night cause you can see the fire when it blasts off, but then it's really difficult to find the rocket when it lands. By the time that found the rocket and gathered up all of the stuff to head home, it was really dark and we left the igniter box at the park. No worries though... Jason rigged it up with a nine volt battery and a phone cord to make it work the next time.

And as I'm typing this they are in the garage building a new igniter to go blast it off later.

I think Jason loves to play with this just as much as Carter does.

Veteran's Day

For Veteran's Day Superstition Farms was having a free day at the farm.  I took the kids back in 2007, but Carter couldn't remember it... So we decided to take them again.

Here's a picture of when we went last time.  Leah was the same age as Mila is now.  To me Carter looks exactly the same only taller.  So funny.

The kids really had a fun time.  They had lots of stuff to do and see, and Mila is way into animals lately, especially cows and horses so she really enjoyed it.

When she saw this horse she said, "NAAAAY".  Her animal sounds are so funny.

We went on a hayride around the farm and Mila LOVED it!!  She kept pointing to the cows and then she would yell "MOO..."  It was so cute.

And then here's the pirate cow.  This cow looked so pitiful with its eye patch.  The kids thought the cow next him was sticking its tongue out at him.  So sad...

The weather was so nice and we ran into a lot of people we knew, but I was glad to leave.  I had enough of the smell.

Spelling Test

Today Carter had to make-up a spelling test from when he missed school on Friday.  We studied this morning before school and he did great.  He didn't miss any words and was really sure that he could get a 100%. (He's gotten 100% on all but 2 tests so far.)  When I picked him up from school this afternoon I asked him how he did...He said, "I don't know, they put a bunch of numbers on my paper."  I told him to let me see it.  He pulls it out of his backpack and it has a 96% and 23/24 on the top...He missed one word.  I asked him "What happened?"  His response was..."They made me sit in the hallway, on my knees, to take the test and I couldn't breathe."

I guess the lack of oxygen made him forget to put the e on the end of more.

What happened to my baby?

Mila is now 18 months old.  For me this was an exciting day.  This day meant that she could finally go into the nursery at church.  It meant that maybe there was actually hope for us to be able to attend OUR class instead of roaming the halls with a very wild toddler. 

Well today...not so much.  When I went to drop her off in her nursery class, it was CRAZY!!  There were crying kids everywhere!  She gets very emotional when she sees someone crying, so I knew that I wouldn't be able to leave her...So lucky Jason got to spend the day in the nursery.  Maybe next week.

These are just a few pictures of her personality...She's quiet and happy one minute and the next she's throwing a fit for something.  This one is for her clothes off.  She's really good at the fits lately.

Knowing that she is our last baby, I kind of don't want her to grow up...but in a way I can't wait either.

Queen Creek Safety Fair

The post of the car crash was done by my jokester husband... After he saw the pictures, he thought they would be funny to post that way to get his mom going...

They were actually from the Safety Fair that Queen Creek had yesterday in the Target parking lot.  I knew it would be right up Carter's alley...so when he woke up on Saturday I told him that he needed to go take a shower, cause we were going to go check out some fire trucks.  He was so excited.

This EMT was showing carter the scissors they use to cut seat belts.  He showed him how it can even cut a penny in half.  Of course he thought that was the coolest thing ever.

This is the bomb-fetching robot that they had moving around.

Carter loved all of the guns that the Sheriff's Department had on display.  Guns seem to be his passion lately. (He was right in the middle of his annoying hard blink.  I thought it was funny.)

We had to leave right when they were getting ready to burn some buildings, so we missed the best part.  Hopefully they'll do it again next year.
