Carter's First Day of Kindergarten

It was REALLY HOT!!

There is one girl in his class that is actually his size.

Carter and Mrs. Williams

Goin' to class

Carter did alot better than I thought he would. I could tell he was a little nervous, but he didn't want mom to know that. On the drive to school he wanted to make sure that I would be waiting for him when he got out. I reminded him that I was always the first one to pick up their kid at preschool and I will be the first one to pick him up at the "big" school. He just said "OK mom" and he was fine.

When we got there, the class lined up outside while parents took their pictures and then when the teacher said "It's time to go to class" he waved and said "bye mom". That's when I almost lost it.

He's growing up so fast...

Random pictures of the Kiddos

This post is mostly for Jason's family that doesn't get to see our kids very often...

Carter is lovin' my mom's Wii at our house.

Leah always wants her picture taken. When you get out the camera she starts doing her tricks for you.

Mila is getting so fun...she smiles and giggles when you talk to her.

This is what you get when you ask for "just one good picture"

We miss you guys and hope to be able to see you soon.

We're still alive...

This has been a busy and fun week. We have really enjoyed having my mom and Rosie Feather Welker (her bird) live with us, but it seems like the days just fly by. Before we know it, it's 4:00, time for Jason to be off, and we're all still in our Pajamas. I know Mila is enjoying not having to scream every time I'm pumping to get her a bottle. She is going to be spoiled rotten by the time grandma leaves....

We blessed Mila on Sunday, but she slept for about three hours afterwards, and by the time she woke up she was screaming because she was so hungry, so we didn't get a single picture of her in her blessing dress. I'll have to do that soon and post them.

Thanks for everyone who came. It really was a fun day laughing and eating.

Here are some pictures of our week:

This is a picture of my mom's bird. It was born in May, so it's just a baby. You have to handle them and talk to them alot while they are young, so they get use to you and so you can teach them to talk. Well my kids think this is great. As soon as Leah wakes up she says "I need to go tell Rosie good morning."

This is a picture of Carter trying to give Rosie a ride on his ambulance. She didn't think it would be a very fun ride, so she kept flying off. The next morning he tried giving her a ride on his skateboard and she didn't like that either...My mom just says "We'll have to work with her."

Here's Leah cleaning the cage with Grandma. (Notice the PJ's at noon)

Here's a picture of some of Grandma's little helpers while we were packing her up. It went pretty smooth even with 15 grand kids all under the age of eight wanting to help.

Of course Carter went in the garage and found something to keep him busy....bungee cords...only Carter....

Then on Saturday my whole family (except me, I stayed home with Mila & Leah) went to my brother Eric's race. Carter couldn't wait for the race to get over, cause he knew after it was over he would be able to put on Eric's helmet again. This time he got to sit in his race car too. That just made his night.

Here are pictures of the kids at the mall play area. I went to the mall to get Mila's ears pierced, but once I got there I chickened out and couldn't do it. Stacey was with me when I got Leah's ears pierced and I didn't even think twice about it. I think I just needed some moral support...Maybe next time.

Mila even had fun...

How could you hurt such a cute baby???

This is a picture of a baby lizard that I found in our house. I called Carter to come and look what I found and when he saw it, you would've thought something bit him 'cause he took off running and screaming like a girl....I thought boys were suppose to like bugs and spiders??? Well, we know Carter doesn't. Too funny!!

Do you wanna play dress up?

I was organizing my pictures the other day and I just had to laugh at how many different characters my kids dress up as. These are just a few that we have pictures of:

"Ballerina"

"Detective"

"The Mom"

"Cheerleader"

"Fireman"

"Cop"

"Wakeboarder"

"President Carter"

They make me laugh...what will it be next?

Grandma's Movin' in

My mom decided she wanted to move and be closer to all of us kids, so she put her house up for sale and to everyone's surprise she sold it in 4 days! (I think that if it sold that quickly in a market like this, then it was ment to be...) We have all been busy helping her pack and moving everything into storage. She will be living with us until she finds a house and remodels it the way that she wants. Our family is so excited to have her live with us. Carter asks everyday "how many days till Grandma moves in with us?" He learned her phone number a while back and he is usually her wake up call every morning, (Until I found out that he was doing it.) so I'm not sure if she is ready for the constant shadow that awaits her.

A Night at the Races

Eric built a mini sprint car and his first race was 4th of July weekend. Jason and Carter went with my mom to watch him race. He did really well for it only being his first time.
Carter thought it was really cool 'cause after the race they got to go down into the pit. The highlight of Carter's night was him getting to put on Eric's helmet.
His next race is this Saturday and the whole family is planning on going. Good Luck Eric!!

If everbody else jumped off a cliff would you?

Well if blogging was a cliff, then look out below. We have been blog-hopping for a couple of months now, and it's cool to see what people have been doing with their lives. So here it is, the Nelson family blog. We'll try not to bore everybody, but the main goal is to keep our distant relatives up to date with the kidos.
