I haven't taken my camera out since Carter's first day of school and that's probably why I haven't updated, cause posts without pictures are pretty boring...
I guess since Carter's started school, life is just not as exciting as it used to be. It's still too hot to do or even go anywhere, so we've just been hanging out at home mostly. Leah is really starting to miss Carter being gone at school all day. It's kinda hard for me to believe though, because when he's home is all they do is fight.
Leah starts preschool on September 9th and yesterday her teacher left an open house invitation and some candy on our front porch. When I told Leah who it was from and gave her the candy she says..."My teacher really does like me. Preschool is going to be so fun!" I'm glad that she excited about it, because I'm really excited to only have one kid for a few hours, 3 days a week! What will I do with myself?
Carter was eating dinner last week and when he bit down one of his teeth became really loose and was bleeding everywhere. It took most of the night to convince him to just pull it out because it was just hanging there. A couple of hours later he comes in and says "Look" and hands me his tooth. I asked him how he got it out and he said he was feeling it with his tongue and it just came out. I guess that tells you how loose it was. Well, the Tooth Fairy must have been on vacation, or out of money, or just kept forgetting to come, because it took three heart broken nights before she finally came and brought him some dough...Now we have a trip to the dollar store scheduled for his half day Friday.
Jason and I were able to go to the Temple on Saturday...finally. Jason had not been back since we were married there, so it was really nice to get to go. We celebrate our 9th anniversary in a couple of weeks. To me I can't believe its only going to be 9 years. We started dating in high school, so we've been together for 15 years. Maybe that's why the 9 years doesn't seem that long...
On Saturday morning Leah asked if we could go swimming. I told her that we could fill up her swimming pool in the backyard, but we weren't going anywhere. She was excited, so she runs upstairs to get her swimsuit on and this is how she came down...
Mila is really starting to talk a lot. She knows what she wants and what it takes to get it... She's gotten really good at throwing fits lately. I swear this girl is addicted to ice. If she sees a cup, she will throw herself on the floor and yell "ICE, ICE..." until she gets some, (no matter where we are). Here she is with her morning cup of goodness...
We still haven't seen signs of new neighbors, and yes, we truly miss the Gilchrist's everyday! They were the best neighbors anybody could ask for!!
Good enough Betsy?
